Just because you have struggled doesn’t mean that you cannot succeed. I have been in the toughest situations and have risen above all of them. This Black History Month, I am one of seven in Legacies Making It Count featured in the @jackdaniels_us BHM campaign.
Don’t ever let anything stop you. There will be times when you’ll be disappointed, but you can’t stop. If you are not willing to risk it, you will have to settle for the ordinary. Before the pandemic, it was called “the homework gap,” now its the “digital gap”. As coronavirus forces many schools online this fall, millions of disconnected students are being left behind, nearly 17 million children lived in homes without high-speed Internet, and more than 7 million did not have computers at home. The digital racial gap is growing more and more and half of our communities are being left behind.
